The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association has recognized Brandon Trice in its annual “Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40” list. Each year, the LGBTQ+ Bar recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have “distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.”

Brandon is Kaplan Hecker & Fink’s 2024 Fellow to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Brandon maintains and is committed to promoting progressive causes through litigation. Most recently, Brandon was a member of the legal team that reached a historic settlement agreement with the Florida State Board of Education, Florida Department of Education, and school districts that effectively nullified the most dangerous and discriminatory impacts of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay" law. Brandon has filed numerous amicus briefs on behalf of public interest organizations, legal scholars, and politicians, including in Obergefell, which recognized the constitutional right of same-sex couples to marry, and in a series of cases challenging the Trump administration’s immigration-related conditions on law enforcement funding.

Honorees will be recognized at a ceremony during the LGBTQ+ Bar 2024 Lavender Law Conference in August. View the full “Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40” list here.
